In partnership with community group, ‘Second Bite’, Fawkner Community House provides fresh food for residents on low incomes. People must be on low/no income and the amounts that we can
provide are limited, depending on how much food is donated each week. Bring your own bags. If you want to be on the list for a food basket please ring the Community House on 9357 4631.
Wednesdays: 10.00 am – 12.00 noon.
Dates: July 19- December 20, 2017 in school term.

Fawkner Food Swap
Come along and swap home-grown fruit, veggies, herbs, flowers, seeds and seedlings with other local backyard vegetable growers. Share your tips on gardening and using home-grown produce.
Second Saturday of every month between 10.30 am & 12.30 pm

Open Table Free Community Lunch
Everyone is welcome to come to our free monthly community lunch, run with Open Table. It’s a big meal, free to all, using food donated by local residents and businesses, community gardens, Second Bite and Foodbank Victoria. Come along; bring your friends and family and meet your neighbours. If you are interested in helping out with the cooking, cleaning or organizing give Meredith a ring at the Community House on 9357 4631. We would love to talk with you.

Fawkner Discount Bulk Food Co-op
We would like to start a discount bulk food co-op for people who would like to reduce their shopping costs by buying in bulk from wholesalers as a group. Every member would need to be prepared to volunteer some time to the group to bag items, help with distribution, etc. If you are interested ring the Community House on 9357 4631 and we will organize a meeting to discuss it further.
Monday Community Lunches
Come to our delicious two-course multicultural lunch once a week. It’s a great way to meet some of the House regulars, catch up with old friends, find out what’s going on and make new friends. Everyone is welcome! Come early and join in the cooking; share your cooking skills and recipes.
